VoiceFlow Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 22, 2026
Summary: VoiceFlow keeps a history of your transcribed texts on your device so you
can re-use them later. Your voice recordings are never saved — only the resulting text is stored.
All API keys are encrypted. No data is sent to our servers.
Information We Collect
VoiceFlow stores the following data locally on your device:
- Transcription history: The last 20 transcribed texts are saved on your device
so you can view and re-use them from the History screen. This text is stored only in your
device's app storage and never sent to us or any third party. History is never recorded
when you dictate into a password field.
- API keys: Your Groq, Gemini, and Sarvam API keys (whichever you configure) are
stored on your device using Android's encrypted storage (AES-256). They are never transmitted
to us.
- App settings: Your language preferences, customization settings, and other
in-app choices are saved locally on your device.
Voice recordings are never saved to storage. Audio is captured in memory, processed,
and immediately discarded.
How We Use Your Information
Your voice recording is sent to one of the following services depending on which engine you have
selected in Settings:
- Groq Whisper (Cloud): Voice is sent to
Groq's Whisper API for transcription.
- Google Gemini (Cloud): Voice is sent to
Google's Gemini API
for transcription and optional formatting in a single call.
- Sarvam AI (Cloud): Voice is sent to
Sarvam AI's API for transcription,
optimised for Indian languages.
- Offline Mode: Voice is processed entirely on your device using a local AI model
(IndicConformer or Whisper Local). No audio or text leaves your phone.
The resulting text is inserted into the active app and saved to your on-device History (unless you
were typing into a password field). We do not use your data for any other purpose.
Third-Party Services
Depending on your chosen engine, your voice recording may be sent to one of these services:
If you use Offline Mode, no audio or text is sent to any external service.
Data Security
- API keys are stored using Android's EncryptedSharedPreferences (AES-256-GCM).
- All network communication uses HTTPS encryption.
- Voice recordings are never saved to disk — processed in memory only.
- Transcription history is stored only in your device's private app storage.
- No data is sent to our servers — we don't have any.
- When using Offline Mode, nothing leaves your device at all.
Data Retention
VoiceFlow retains the last 20 transcribed texts on your device in the History feature. You can clear
this at any time using the Clear History button. Voice recordings are never
retained — they are processed in memory and immediately discarded after transcription.
Your Rights & Control
- Clear history: Open the History screen and tap "Clear All" to delete all saved
transcriptions immediately.
- Delete API keys: Go to Settings → API Configuration and clear any key at any
time.
- Full deletion: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data, including
history, API keys, and settings.
Children's Privacy
VoiceFlow does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we do not
operate any servers, no data from any user (including children) is transmitted to us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Significant changes will be communicated through app
updates.
